Mogoro is a municipality located in the Marmillan hilly region , on a highland, called Su Struvina, which opens at the Monte Arci's foot, of volcanic origin, for this reason, in pre-nuragica it was a important center for the obsidian's manufacture .

The town has five churches, the most important of which is the parish church, dedicated to San Bernardino, where are preserved the Eucharistic Miracle's relics of 1604. Mogoro is a place also famous for carpets and tapestries, exhibition symbols that is held here every year in August, and that takes the name of "Carpet Fair".
The winery's most important area is the Nuraghe Winery, founded in 1956 by a winemakers small group. Currently, more than six hundred members treat with great commitment about 450 vineyards hectars, planted mostly with the traditional tree in order to offer excellent wines, faithful territorial ambassadors . The winery has its roots in a fertile land particularly suitable for the finest local vines cultivation as Monica, Nuragus, Malvasia, Vermentino and Cannonau.
Source of pride for the Mogoro's cellar are the Semidano of Mogoro DOC, fruity white wine, the Vignarjua Cannonau and the Prima Macerazione , a young red wine, just to name a few.
The Cellar "Nuraghe" is located on the SS 131 at km 62 to Mogoro (on the map B).
In few kilometers you move from Mogoro to Terralba, a town located between the Marceddì's and St. John's coves, famous for the eels, mullet and clams production . In the municipal area are also present several nuragical settlements as Coddu du Fennegu and Pomata.
Noteworthy is the St. Peter's cathedral, which houses a seventeenth century's wooden pulpit. and a valuable silver cross of Spanish origin. Very impressive is the procession on August 21 in the Virgin of Bonaria's honor, who from the village goes to the sea, where floral wreaths are launched. The country is also renowned for the DOC wines production.
One of the most important wineries of the area is Melis Wines, founded by a Terralba's citizen and winemaker doc. The company covers a 30 hectares area, in which the vines are grown for local tradition: Bovale, Vermentico, Malvasia Sarda, the Cannoanu etc. .. Among the cellar Melis' most valuable wine there are: the Triagus and the Dominariu di uve Bovale, l’ Horreum di uve Cannonau, and the Nabj, great local DOC wine that, once distilled, it becomes a prestigious grappa.

Returning to Fordongianus , you can stop in Arborea, resort founded in 1928 on the Sassu tin's reclaimed land with the name of Villaggio Mussolini changed in the 1930s in Mussolinia di Sardegna and, finally, in the present name in 1944 after the Fascism fall . Surrounded by lush vegetation, the country is populated by settlers, mostly from the Veneto region. The cellar Quartomoro di Sardegna is a small and young company in evolution. It is proposed as a cultures mixture . In this cellar the grapes are transformed with the essential tools help by great simplicity, the alcoholic fermentation is sought without microbiological deviation by bacteria or yeast. The vineyards are located in the Marrubiu municipality , at the Mount Arci's foot, on a slightly sandy territory, in the traditional DOC and IGT historical land .
Among the various labels in the cellar appears the Òrriu in its various types: Vernaccia, Vermentino di Gallura, Sardinia and Vermenino Cannoanu.
