Bosa is situated Along the Temo river's banks. Thanks to its location, the town was inhabited at the Phoenicians' time and later was colonized by Romans.

It is very famous for the craftsmanship that goes from the coral processing and export to the weaving through the embroidery and the filet until asphodel baskets interwaeving. It is one of the ideal destinations for birdwatchers, snorkeling and trekking thanks to the sea with its marine park and the surrounding valley, Planargia, also famous for the Malvasia cultivation and production, a wine DOC famousall over the world. Just above the village is definitely worth visiting the Malaspina's castle which preserves inside th Our Lady of Regnos Altos Church in which you can admire the Catalan school frescoes.
To the Malvasia has been devoted a wine route which collects all the countries that produce this precious nectar, including: Modolo, Magomadas, Suni and Flussio, departing from Bosa, where we find the Vigne Silatteri winery. The company lies down on the calcareous origin hills and aged by the erosion and and the North-West winds between the Malaspina Castle and the coast. It is the reality and most wine-growing tradition of the area, thanks to the hills natural slope and exposure to sun and wind, which in combination with the wise cultivation of these grapes, Malvasia di Bosa achieves excellence. Among the wines we find Domina Casta, a Malvasia di Bosa IGT Planargia, the Latitante, a red IGT Isola dei Nuraghi, without forgetting the Grappa, a Malvasia's pomace's distillation, which preserves the aromas and flavor notes.

Through a path that runs along the sea we move from Bosa to Alghero, also known as the Riviera del Corallo's capital. Even today, after a long domination preserves the Catalonia's traditions and language, although its origins are much older, as evidenced by the Sant'Imbenia and Palmavera nuraghi complex. Very interesting are the Domus de Janas Anghelu Ruiu and Santu Pedru presenting red ocher rocks which were used in ancient times for the blood and regeneration rites. Not far from the city center there is the Capo Caccia's protected marine area where you can admire the famous Neptune's Caves. The best times to visit the city are December until early January for the Cap d'Any de l'Alguer (New Year's Eve in Alghero) and that of Holy Week, with the very evocative traditional spanish rites. Very attractive is the Ethnographic Museum Sella e Mosca, hosted on the wine estate.
The Sella & Mosca is certainly the island's most important and famous estate. Founded in 1903, has not lost any old charm. The wines, then as now, grow older in the traditional Slovenia oak casks and in Allier barriques, Nevers and Tronçais. Next to the historic cellars is a complex wine newer and modern set in a pristine natural environment. In order to maintain the vineyards biodiversity have been integrated with different Mediterranean species trees including oleanders, palms, pines etc.. . Tradition and innovation are integrated and complement each other in perfect harmony. Among the winery's most famous wines stand out as Anghelu Ruju, an aged Cannonau and Vermentino di Sardegna.

Before returning to Fordongianus we do one last stop in Usini, a country where agriculture is the leading sector, thanks to its privileged location between the Logudoro and Nura, a hilly area rich in olive groves, vineyards and artichoke. The first human settlement's traces date back to the Neolithic Age, as demonstrated by certain burial facilities' discovery in the area. Definitely worth a visit the St. George's and Santa Croce's churches, the Romanesque-Pisan domination's evidence. Following the Aragonese conquest, the country gradually depopulated. Usini is very famous for the baked goods production such as bread baked in a wood, and desserts like: germinos, biscottos tostos and trabea, as well as for the wine production .
One of the companies in the area is the Cantina Carpante. Recently founded, is a young and dynamic winery, which has, however, through the members, significant experience in this area. The environment in which the grapes are grown has an ideal microclimate thanks to the clayey and calcareous soil and exposure to the perfect sunny and breezy position which helps to give to the wines absolutely unique perfumes, structure and character.
Among the region's finest wines there are Cagnulari, a red IGT Isola dei Nuraghi, the Cannoanau di Sardegna DOC for red wines, while for whites Longhena and Frinas, both of Vermentino di Sardegna DOC.
