Samugheo is located in the heart of the hills Mandrolisai, in an area rich in archaeological finds, among which the Perda Orrubia's nuraghe, the Spelunca Orre's domus de Janas, the ancient Jewish burial places in Pranu 'and Laccos, the giants' tomb Paule Luturu and the Medusa castle's remains, from the Byzantine period, which are located in a rocky gorge carved in marble.

The country is well known for its textile art, thanks to The Unique Regional Museum of Art Textiles in which have been preserved tapestry rugs and blankets made on wooden frames, and for the bread making, for which a festival is held in October during which it is made using the ancient baking techniques.

The "Cantina Valle" of Accoro is a newly established company that points to the DOC mark territory's ancient wine-making tradition's recovery. The wines produced by this company have a strong and distinct taste that comes from the territory in which vineyards are planted, the Accoro Valley, between Oristano and Barbagia.The local tradition's native vines choice and recovery, has been instrumental to exalt the wines perfume and taste, produced by the company.

This winery's most valuable labels are Carrasegare Isola dei Nuraghi IGP, the Valle Accòro Vermentino DOC and Cheressia Nasco di Cagliari DOC.

The Accòro's agricultural society "Cantina Valle" is located in Via Lamarmora 18, Samugheo (point B on the map).

From Samugheo you move toward the Abbasanta's highland , not far from the Montiferru's and Marghine's chain to reach Ghilarza. The country's architecture is characterized by low buildings realized in black basalt by local labor, the so-called "maistros de muru" stone working's expert  famous around the world for their abilities: they have, in fact, also attended the Red Square's paving completion in Moscow. Along Corso Umberto, the village's main street, there is the Antonio Gramsci's house-museum, in which are exposed historical materials about the Italian Communist Party's founder. Among the monuments to visit in Ghilarza we remember the Torre Aragonese, a military archeology's perfect example, and the San Palmerio's church, built in Romanesque style in black white and red stones, dating from the thirteenth century.
 
The Sardinian man is deeply connected to his roots, tenacious and experienced worker, has never given up to broaden their horizons, exploring new lands and improving their techniques. This is the principle that inspired the Cantine Loddo's founder, which draws its strength from the men, who strongly motivated, they care scrupulously the production cycle in order to renew and innovate their land's winemaking heritage, through a  Mandrolisai wines enhancement process. Particular emphasis is placed, in fact, to the native grapes and the ancient varieties rediscovery, such as Nasco. Its own production is exclusively geared towards premium wines with the modern character and the ancient heart, unique wines of which are renowed expressions the Barisai, the Sonaggiau and Istentale, very special for the drying on the wine technique.

The "Cantine Loddo" are located in Corso Umberto 259 / B in Ghilarza (point C of the map).

Before returning to Fordongianus you can stop in Tramatza, a small village that lies on the river Crispiri's banks, on the Oristano's plain's border. The country owes its name to the "tramatzu", the tamarisk, a shrub widespread in the area. The humans presence has its roots in the Neolithic, to which dates back two village's archaeological remains sites in Su Sarrigheddu and Is Launeddas. Of great interest are the parish church, dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene, Salvatore and Geminianus and consecrated in 1388, and on the village's outskirts and the church dedicated to St. John the Baptist dating from the seventeenth century. There are many celebrations and festivals that enliven the spirit of this country, first of all of the Vino Novello (new wine), which takes place in November.
 

In Tramatza has seat the Educational Farm Family Orro. The business reality is founded on the wise ancient values related to peasant wisdom and handed down from father to son, in compliance with current standards for food production's quality assurance .
Among the winery's most valuable labels include the Crannatza, sipping wine produced with grapes Vernaccia di Oristano, the Zenti Arrubia, pink, and Spinerba, red, both made from strain Nieddera's grapes . In the Farm Orro you can follow the training courses to raise awareness the rural reality and stimulate people's critical thinking and curiosity especially the younger generation, more and more distant from reality agriculture.

Among the various products in the petting zoo are also oil, cheese, "Pittau on bread" (bread decorated), rich in symbolism, traditionally made for parties and special occasions, such as Easter and weddings, and jams made from olives, artichokes, asparagus, and lemons.
